Norris Edges Out Oscar Piastri in Sao Paulo Practice
Lando Norris has outscored his teammate at each of the last five race weekends.
Lando Norris just pipped fellow driver and championship contender Oscar Piastri for the top spot in the closing stages of practice at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The British racer, who grabbed the points lead from Piastri by one point after his victory in the Mexican Grand Prix recently, outpaced the Australian by a mere 0.023s.
Earlier in the session, Oscar Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair throughout the hour before the sprint shootout set to begin at the evening session.
The Red Bull star, the sole remaining contender in the championship fight, trailing 36 points behind Norris, ended up in 17th position as his Red Bull team ran a alternative strategy.
